We do research & development on media & experience for innovation & education.

Campus Medius is a development lab, think tank, and incubator for multimodal publishing, experience design, and media literacy. We have launched an interactive mapping application as well as a scholarly open-access journal and are currently developing InSituEx, a digital toolbox for Multispective Experience Design (MiXeD). We are based in Vienna, Austria, and organized as an independent not-for-profit association.

Mapping Austrofascism

Exploring the possibilities of digital cartography in cultural and media studies: our initial project, an interactive mapping application on twenty-four, politically crucial hours in Vienna on the weekend of May 13 and 14, 1933.

Genealogy+Critique

Fair digital publishing in the Open Library of Humanities: pursuing an interdisciplinary approach, the scholarly open-access journal G+C fosters critical analyses of the present from historical and systematic perspectives.

InSituEx

Developing a framework and toolbox for Multispective Experience Design (MiXeD): InSituEx will help to explore and design not only individual user experiences but experiential settings involving diverse human and nonhuman actors.
